Following the documentation and several KB articles I've created an integration between Opsgenie and Statuspage.
When alertmanager send an alert to opsgenie (I have a rule to apply tags) it is forwarded to statuspag, create an incident and update the component status.
It all works fine.
However, I would like to only update the component without creating a public facing incident on statuspage. Sometime those incident can stay in opsgenie to be taken by the team and only the component status would be communicated to customers.

You could simply use the Components automation to trigger an email which will just update the components status without creating a Statuspage incident.
This can be still from Opsgenie that triggers the email event.
