Butler rule doesn't seem to work across different workspaces?

Hi!

I have boards in different workspaces and now I want to create a Butler rule that works across them.

What I have tried to do: when a new card is being created in a list in board A (workspace 1), I want to copy the card to another list in board B (workspace 2). When I set up the rule, it does show me that board in the dropdown menu so I can select it, but when I run the automation, it gives an error saying "cannot find board B".

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Best,

Shelley

@Shelley Barendregt It is possible to create rules that include boards across multiple workspaces. From what I understand, Butler rules are created at the "instance" level. When you look at your Butler rules, the list of commands will look the same regardless of what board you're in, or what workspace you're in.

I just tested this and was able to successfully create a rule that spanned across multiple boards that live in separate workspaces.

What I suggest is creating a couple of test boards - each in a separate workspace, and then create a rule to copy a card from one board to another. If it works, then there might be an issue with the original rule that's failing. Potentially just deleting it and re-creating it might solve it.
