Hi Community!
We've just created a work flow that spans across two boards.
When a card has moved through the first board (Stage 1), the last rule is set to send the card to the second board (stage 2). Is there a way to automate the creation of a copy of the stage 2 board (created as a template), and rename the copied board, with the title of the card when the card lands there?
Thanks in advance :)
@Evanthe Dunn you want to move a card from board A to board B, and copy board B and rename the copy of the board to the name of the moved card?
That sounds like an odd request, can I ask what the use case is? There may be a better way to achieve the outcome ...
Hi Iain!
Odd? I prefer unique, hah!
We are a landscaping business. The first board is customised for the quotation process. It is at the point when a quote is successful, we would then like the card (project) to have its own board.
There can be 'up to' 5 stages (lists) required for each of our projects, with multiple cards, checklists and staff added at different stages. This seemed to be the best way to keep things clean, and simple for our staff to access the job tasks.
Open for suggestions :)

PS We've butlered board B to populate with lists/cards/checklists as per some of the details contained on the card that arrives from board A. We are just really trying to cut out the manual step of 'copying' the template board each time we begin a new project.

@Evanthe Dunn I see now, this is more or less the exact scenario in the demo video I created here:
However rather than moving the card to another board, I copy the template board, link it to the card and the card stays in the "Production" list while all the action to deliver the work happens on the board itself.
Butler doesn't have board copying features anymore, and I think you'll also run into the issue of having to enable the Butler commands individually on the created board, I don't think that Butler commands can be automatically enabled when a board is copied.
So you'd have to use the API directly, Trellinator is the library I wrote for creating custom Trello automations, you can read about it here:

Thanks for your response Iain.
Im still having a good look at your suggestions.
Is Benkobot your operation?

@Evanthe Dunn sure is! In fact, I'm in the process of creating a "self-service" version of BenkoBot so that you don't have to do such a complicated setup using Google Apps Script to run Trellinator functions:
This is still version 0.0.1 so it doesn't do any notification handling or save functions or anything but that's all on the way :) In the meantime I can still help get this stuff set up running under Google Apps Script.
