How to apply conditions like "more than" or "round" on custom fields in Trello Butler?

projects@decorativeglasseg.com May 14, 2025

Hi everyone,

I’d like to ask about using conditional logic in Trello Butler automation — specifically with number custom fields.

Is there a way to set rules like:

"If a custom field (e.g., 'No. of Items') is set to a number greater than 15, then set the due date to 2 days from now"?

Also, is it possible to use functions like:

  • >, <, >=, <=

  • round()

  • or anything similar that allows basic number logic in triggers?

So far, it looks like Butler only supports exact value matching (e.g., "is set to 15"), but I’d love to know if there’s a workaround or advanced method — maybe using regex or another approach.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi projects@decorativeglasseg.com, welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You can find this automation trigger in the "Fields" tab, as shown in the screenshot below:
