Importing MS Project schedule and using dependencies.

I'd like to import a template we use in MS Project for new projects, and use it as a template in Jira, and have predecessors and successors, and have them reflected on the gantt plan, but I don't know what fields Jira recognizes, and will it allow me to import Start and End Dates and duration and work? I'd like to be able to use Jira to manage Waterfall projects, not all projects are meant for Agile. I'm very, very new to Jira, who offers the best Admin / Configuration training, I'd like to learn the functionality of the tool.
