Hi,
Trying to add 2 way dependency tracking automation using Automations. (Powerups are no good because they don't work with further automations nor do they seem to reliably work on the mobile app...)
* All of my cards have a "Blocked-By" checklist which is a list of dependent tasks.
Each item is automatically transformed into a linked card (linked in the same Blocked-By list, not as a card attachment)
* I have figured the automation to make it that: ticking the Item also updated the linked card:
when an item is checked in a checklist named "Blocked-By", find a card with link "{checklistitemname}", and mark the card as complete
Question: How do I automate the other way - so that when the remote linked card is marked complete in the card itself, all checklist Items which are the link to this card are ticked off in all cards where the item exists? (May be more than one if more than one card is blocked by a single task). All cards will be within the same board.
I realise that scanning all cards may become slow, so I have set the option to have a reverse list of links in the Checklist "Blocking" which is not yet populated by an automation, but could be. Or I could use card to card attachment - whatever you think works...
Really wish Trello had native dependency relationships, it would be the killer feature - but there you go...
Thanks folks - Tim
