Adding watchers through a custom field?

Hello, is there functionality to add watchers for a ticket, any customer within our Software Project by way of automating a custom field and tying it to watchers?

 

My goal is to have users/customers that submit a ticket through our portal (JSM), have a field to select other users/customers within our organization to be a watcher on that ticket.

 

Tickets end up in a Software project and do not stay within JSM.

Hi @Bassel.Kharwat

you should have a look at automation rules. There is an action which is able to add watchers to an issue. 
My approach would consist of the the trigger: Field Value changed (for your customfield)
Then create a smartvalue with {{issue.customfield_xy}} and set it in the "Manage Watcher" action.
