Hi,
I have a quick question.
I would like a checklist to be displayed when a request type “Offboarding” is created in my JSm project.
I wanted to use the Smart Checklist plugin for this.
I use Jira Cloud and the plugin is version:
2.2.68-AC
According to the documentation:;
https://railsware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CHK/pages/3454730248/Add+Checklist+on+Issue+Creation
I should have a property Checklists under “Edit task”.
I don't have that.
I only have:
Checklist Completed, Checklist Content YAML, Checklist Text, Checklist YAML
Does anyone have any ideas?
Hi Daniel,
Illia from Smart Checklist Customer Success team here 🙂
From what I see, you've simply haven't set up the custom field necessary for the automation. Here's an article that will help you do just that:
https://railsware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CHK/pages/97845318/Checklists+Custom+Field+set+up
They are automatically created on a Forge version of our app, but the Free version is still on Atlassian's 'legacy' Connect platform for app management.
Hopefully this will allow you to achieve the desired result with your automations!
Best,
Illia

Hello @Dominik Hebestreit ,
Checklists can be enabled as individual projects as well; if checklist isn't there, do check out if checklist feature is enabled for your project.
If that is enabled and able to view at issue level view, then check for Checklist field is renamed by any chance.
Also, for the project - checklist field is added to your edit/create/view screen of the project as well.

Hello @Dominik Hebestreit
Can you provide a screen image of what you are viewing? The page that you referred to is talking about steps for an Automation Rule, and I want to confirm that is the process you are trying to execute.
Based on what you say you see, I suspect you are not on the same screen as in the documentation.
What type of Jira project are you using? Get that information from the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.

I'm using a Service Management project (JSM) as the pro version.
We would like to use Smartlist/Checklist for Service request.
here is a screenshot of my automation page for the service management project.
As a workaround I could in theory create a own request type and link the checklist to the request type but that would be a bit ugly.
My goal is the following concept:
Someone from the HR create a service request with the request type "Offboarding"
After that, every Asset which is owned by the Offboarded user will be linked to the service request and the checklist with some points for the offboarding should be attatched.
best regards!

Hello @Dominik Hebestreit
You said the version of the Smart Checklist plugin is 2.2.68-AC. Is that accurate?
If so, if I'm reading the documentation correctly, for versions older than 3.9.5 you have to manually create a Checklists field and add it to your projects, as per this part of the documentation:
I think the reference in the documentation for the automation rule assumes that you have a custom field named "Checklists" already created.
