How to create Jira ticket automatically from Slack Worflow

HI all,

I created slack workflow, where user can fill out details when reporting an issue. I want this workflow automatically create Jira ticket. It is not letting me do it though. It is asking me to fill out jira form after i filled out slack form. Is the mapping issue or it is not possible to automatically create jira ticket from slack workflow form submission? thanks

From my experience, creating Jira tickets directly from a Slack workflow requires proper field mapping between Slack and Jira.

If the integration asks you to fill out a Jira form after the Slack submission, it might indicate incomplete mapping or permissions issues.

P.S. Double-check your Slack workflow configuration and ensure all required fields are mapped correctly to Jira.

If out of the box capabilities don't satisfy your needs you may want to consider ScriptRunner Connect to build a custom integration. Here is a simple template that creates a Jira issue from Slack, or slightly more complicated example that is creates ticket in JSM, but allows to gather more information from Slack using Slack's BlockKit UI before submitting the ticket.
