Hi I'm new to using automation rules so this might be a silly question. I've created an automation rule that when manually triggered clones an issue from Project A into Project B. That is working fine. However I also want the rule to add the cloned issue in Project B to a specific Team Board in Project B. I'm not sure how to do this. Would appreciate any help.

A Jira board is a view of the issues, based on the board's filter. When you want the cloned issue to appear on a specific backlog / board, set the issue's fields to match the filter.
There are two exceptions to this:
Kind regards,
Bill
Hi @Bill Sheboy Thank you so much for your response! That is super helpful. I would ideally like the cloned issue to appear in the Backlog of a specific Scrum Board so that's perfect.
I was wondering which field allows you to pick the specific backlog/board you want? I can't seem to find a field for 'Boards' to set,
Thank you in advance!
Rach

There is no field for "board". Instead the board's saved filter determines what is shown.
For example, let us assume I have two boards for my project with these filters:
And so the Team field value decides upon which backlog / board issues display. If I create an issue with a Team value set to Apple, it will appear on the first one.
What fields determine which board is used for your teams?
