'epic link' is missing from 'field value changed' trigger

I am trying to automate a change of field, once I create a child issue inside an epic.
I tried the trigger 'field value changed' but I don't find the 'epic link' field in the list of fields.

I also tried 'issue created' trigger, and to check if '{{issue.epic.link}} is not equal to Empty, but it seems it is always start as Empty, so it never passes the 'if'

any suggestions?
