Need automation rule for One field copy from another field in same issue type

We have two fields.

1. Test Date(date type filed)

2. Test Date Time picker (Date time picker type)

 need automation rule for Test Date value copied from Test Date Time picker in same project.

I'm assuming you are using Jira Cloud? Anyway, think this one will also work on DataCenter.

So in your rule you will have to use the Edit Issue action:

In this example Date2 is your Test Date field (=destination). Change start date field here is your date time picker field Test Date Time.

What problem are you trying to solve by copying the same information from one field to another in the same issue?  That is, "why do this?"  Knowing that may help the community to offer better suggestions.

When do you want to do copy the field?  That will help you decide how to build an automation rule to do so.
