Sum of timespent in epic for all task linked

i would like to update timespent value of a epic add all time spent from all tasks linked to the epic.

What have you tried thus far to solve this need?

This question is frequently asked in the community, and it can be solved using automation rules.  The rules are easier for Jira Cloud than for Server / Data Center, but both are possible.  I recommend searching the community to find similar questions and answers.  For example, several are listed in the "Related Community Content" at the right-side of this page.

If you run into challenges implementing the rule, please post the following for context:

• an image of your complete rule
• images of each rule trigger, action, branch, and condition
• an image of the audit log details showing the rule execution
• explain what is not working as expected, and why you believe that to be the case
