I need to set up recurring tasks (like weekly reports or monthly reviews) in Jira Cloud but haven’t found a native way to automate this. What’s the best approach to create and track recurring issues efficiently? Are there plugins or automation rules you recommend for this?
Hello @Adarsh verma ,
You can use an automation rule with a scheduled trigger, setting it up to run at whatever frequency you need — for example, daily, monthly, or any other cadence. The action in the automation would be the creation of these tasks:
Hi, @Adarsh verma
You can use Jira Automation for it.

You can create Automation rule with "Scheduled" trigger, configure it to run on schedule, for example every day, or week, and add there action to create issues with pre-configured data.

Hello @Adarsh verma
There is also a new method available in Cloud to set up recurring tasks. It leverages Automation Rules, but doesn't require you to create the Automation Rule directly.

The recurrence period options are limited, though, and do not include Monthly.
