We use Confluence on premises, and have Duo set up as a 2fa authentication system.
With Duo, we are unable to use any tools that authenticate directly to Confluence via an API. Primarily, I want to use the Bob Swift Confluence CLI plugin so that I can perform a few automated tasks on a regular basis. Duo seems to prevent CLI from authenticating. Same thing for the Confluence mobile app, it just can't log in/load the site.
Is there some mechanism to bypass the Duo module completely for certain connections such as by IP? Is there another 2fa plugin that works with Duo but is able to be bypassed for integrations?
Edited in case anyone has other ideas: an example of what I want to do with CLI (and the only thing I actually *need* it for): take a PDF copy of a list of very important and constantly changing pages so that in the event of a disaster (technical, natural, or otherwise) we have a hard copy of certain information. If anyone can solve that for me without changing Duo or CLi that would be a win. I could probably whip something up with cURL but it wouldn't be maintainable at all. The CLI allows me to select spaces and pages based on tags and categories, and the list of pages will not be static.
Hi
Currently, we do not have an option to use CLI apps when 2fa is configured to the instance, we have raised an improvement request ACLI-739 for the same. Please feel free to add yourself as a watcher to the request.
