We are planning on upgrading not only our current version of each software, but also want to upgrade the OS version(currently - Microsoft Windows 2008 r2 and 2012 r2) to 2016 and SQL 2016. Thanks
It seems like SQL 2016 works, but is not officially supported due to not being able to test it comprehensively yet, so you may want to hold off:
