Hello all!
So right now we are using Confluence[Cloud] + Jira Service Desk[Cloud]... when we have a client go to our knowledge base directly to say look up the details of a software unit or FAQ, the client may decide that this isn't enough information for them and they want to quickly get back to our customer service desk portal.
Is there any way to give them static and persistent access while using our confluence knowledge base to go to our customer service portal? Like some sort of widget or something in the corner of the screen or something?
Sorry, I know that is sort of "hand wavey" and not as concrete of a question as I would like to ask. But is there anything like that?
Thanks again and bless :D
Hey Cole,
I'm not aware of any way to 'float' (for lack of a better term) a service desk portal iframe or link when in Confluence natively. The one thing I can recommend is maybe embedding a static portal link in each of your confluence articles. This way, the user can click at the bottom something like 'This doesn't help me - submit a help request.'
I am using an addon though called SubSpace Navigation for Confluence that may be beneficial to you which allows you to build out a navbar that can include external links:
Thank you kindly for this information Meg! Apologies on my delay in getting back to you.
I like both the embedded link idea as well as checking out this addon it looks like something that would certainly boost the capabilities of confluence! I will have to check back with my team and see if others also like it-- I suspect they will!
Thank you again Meg, much appreciated!

For sure, I actually need help right now haha! I actually have another question I raised about trying to modify the email address being sent out from my jira service desk instance.
It's in this location here, unfortunately I am totally stumped and out of ideas at this point. I'd be very very grateful if you would take a moment to look through it and hopefully help me get past this!
