Add the group to existing projects and automatically add when creating new projects

Hello,

I am looking for option to add group to all existing projects and also during the creation of new projects add group automatically.

Hi @Krzysztof Matlak and welcome to the Community!

As long as you are using company managed projects, there's 2 ways to add a group (of users) automatically when you create a new project:

  • As a Jira administrator, navigate to Jira Settings > System > Project roles and configure the default members of the role(s) you would like to use.
  • Add the group directly to the permission scheme(s) you are using in your projects with the desired permissions. When you create new projects, do so with a shared configuration, so your projects use the same permission scheme.

The first option would have my preference, but it will only work for new projects you create afterwards. If you want to update permissions on already existing projects, the second option makes more sense.
