Hello,
We are working on setting up oncall schedules within JSM. I set up a team so I can open the operations portion for that team. I will only have a small JSM agent pool and the other folks should be considered collaborators. How do I go about setting that up? Or is there another method that I should be looking at to get people added to an oncall schedule?
Thanks
Greg
Hello @Gregory Bessette ,
Good day, Welcome to Atlassian Community!!
I believe that would be the best way to set it up.
I would suggest, you review this Document to understand what roles to give to your collaborators or agents.

Hello,
I have tried to create a custom role but the user still falls into agent license for on call. I am working on some screen shots that I need to edit. What I am trying to find is if someone is on call and needs to be in JSM for scheduling purposes only, are they considered an agent even though they will never process any tickets within JSM?
Thanks

As per my understanding, in order to be added in the on-call schedule, one do not necessarily need a JSM Agent license.
Key Requirement is one must be added in the relevant team. On-Call within the JSM projects, then one must be added as Collaborators, they should have agent or Jira Software License.
If you can help us with the screenshots of what you see, that will be helpful.
