Hello! I'm trying to add an approver to an approval workflow, but the documentation seems a little out of date.
Essentially it's a pretty generic approval process, but I can not associate the field with a group or with the workflow itself. I tried following the steps here: Add a new custom field to a service project | Jira Service Management Cloud | Atlassian Support but half the options are missing. Does anyone have a way to do this? It's holding me up pretty severely. (I am an Org Admin and have the necessary access).
I figured out the issue. It was a small detail. When creating the field I had selected Group Picker(because it made sense to pick a group when selecting a group to do approvals) rather than User Picker. Once I made the correction I was able to associate the group by following the instructions found in Edit a custom field context | Atlassian Support and Add a new custom field to a service project | Jira Service Management Cloud | Atlassian Support
Hello @Patrick Rodgers ,
Were you able to configure the JSM workflow status using the screenshot below?
In case you need to use a field other than 'Approvers' or 'Approvers Group', I've included below some instructions on how that field should be defined.

Is the project you are using a team-managed project or company-managed project? The KB you found only applies to company-managed projects. Once the custom field (user picker or group picker) has been created you need to add it to the request type. Once that is done you can associate it with the approval process in the workflow.
