How do I configure for multi-company or multi-locations assets management?

If you are on the Premium plan and are using Insight you could add an attribute with the company/location, and these could be their own object as well.

We are not using insight. Would insight be useful in a SaaS/WFH environment? right now the major need is asset management.

Yes, we use Insight for asset management and we currently collect data from both Jamf and InTune. That way we can link all requests to the reporter's asset. We also have an automation that runs when equipment is returned to set the correct status on it.

We are also using Insight for peripherals that we offer to our users, and it is based on their location.

Good to know. Utilize a separate MDM. My original question however pertained to if we can add that attribute to the regular Jira Asset Management? If not we would possibly have to segway to insight asset management.

the regular Jira Asset Management is Insight. Atlassian bought it, and it is now fully integrated into the ITSM solution.
