Hey everyone,
I'm trying to set up a queue that will go from an assigned user or from open, to a custom closed queue when closed, ive set up the queue, but it wont move into closed when i close it.
Is it possible to take it away from one queue and add it to another as it transitions through statuses?
EDIT: I figured it out, in order to transition with custom statuses, you have to add the custom status to the resolutions.
to do this goto:
issues>issue attributes>resolutions
then add the specific status you're trying to use in your queues.
Queue management is controlled via the JQL setup for each queue. WF transition cannot automatically remove an issue from one queue to another queue.
You will need to ensure the yoru JQL setup is pulling the proper issues (i.e. based on your custom WF statuses or by other issue attributes etc.) when you configure your queues.
Hope this helps.

Hi Joseph,
Thanks for the response, unfortunately i think i may have found the problem, but i have no solution to this either, i think that whats happening is "Closed" is not selectable in the resolutions, because my statuses in my workflow are custom, i use "Closed" instead of "Done".
I think this might also explain why my emails arent sending on the "Closed" transition too.

You can configure your Resolution options setup by adding "Closed" as a valid selection. So, your JQL is focus on Resolution field value assignment?
It is straight-forward to add additional resolution value to the existing options.
(Assuming you have system admin right) - Access "Jira Administration" > Issues > Resolutions. NOTE - you will need to also update the WF transition to set resolution to your custom resolution option too.
Best, Joseph
