Assist Teams - adding 2nd triage group or project

I currently have the IT helpdesk setup with "Assist / Halp" and tickets go back to our Jira Service management for tickets.

I need to have a new team brought on to deal with technical issues for some specific software (that isn't being managed by the current IT team).

 

  • Can i create a new project for them and add another triage group to split tickets off to them ?
  • Or, do i need to create a new Team (in teams) and assign the Assist App to them? then link to the new Jira project
  • Or can i leave them all in the one project and have ways to hide certain queues from certain staff groups?
  • I've noticed there is no clean way to use automation to move a ticket from one project to another, so was going to avoid that.

Hi, @Chris Scott 

You can leave them in one project, and hide/show issues to dufferent teams with issue security permissions.

You can set issue security (it's special custom field) for issues with Jira Automation.
