Automatic ticket deletion that has been open for more then a year.

Hello Jira community, i want to delete Tickets that have been open for longer than 365 days using Jira Automations.

HI @scherdin 

You can create an automation rule for this, just make sure that the Closed status in your workflow is reachable from any other status.

Or if you really want to delete the issue from the system ( non recoverable), this can be done via automation as well.

There is an action in automation to delete issues. Just use the Automation section, not the legacy automation section, these rules can't do this.

You can create for example an SLA with 365 days, 24/7 calendar
and if the it's breached it will close the issue.

Trigger: SLA breached
Action: Transition issue -> closed
