When I try to select a specific user to assign an issue to via an automation it keeps telling me that the user is not present or a deleted user (see screenshot). The use in question is me and I'm the project administrator. Other users that I've added to the project team aren't selectable either. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for the reply. My users were assignable. I figured out that Legacy Automation allows for this but not new automation.
I have exactly the same problem. Did anyone get a suggestion? This is quite a common issue, please suggest me if you find any solution for it Popeyes Survey

Hi Terrell, Legacy automation allows for this. On the automation screen there should be an option for "Legacy Automation". Basically does the same thing with a less pretty interface. That works, the new one doesn't.

You need to give the assignabel user permission to the user in the persmission scheme.
