Automation: Remove attachments from ticket if all linked tickets are closed

Hi all,

I can't get my head around this and I am not sure where my logic error is:

I am trying to run an automation task every day:

Task:

pic1.jpg

If condition: This should only pass if none of the linked tickets are in the project category "Development" and not closed. So if there is a linked ticket that is still "open" in one of the projects of this category, then the IF block will not be executed -> attachments will remain.

For some reason, the IF condition always passes and I am not sure why.

I tried to leave out the "key={{issue.key}}" from the JQL but that didnt solve the issue either.

Any idea?

Thanks,
Thomas

Hi @Thomas

Not entirely sure but ...

You say : "...if there is a linked ticket that is still "open" in one of the projects of this category ..."

But at the bottom of your screenshot, the rule is restricted to "Technical Support (SUP)"

Does some of those linked issues are in another project or are they all in the SUP project ?

Let me know.

Hi Frederic,

thanks for pointing this out! Yes, some of the linked tickets are in other projects. I didn't think that the rule restriction affects linked tickets, too.

I have now moved the automation rule into the global automation and it seems to work as expected.

Thanks again!
