Hello,
how can I remove the notificiation in automation? when automation rule updates a field or comment, Jira sends a notification email to the reporter, assignee, or watchers.
Hey @Mar Angelo
Right now i believe, Jira doesn’t have a global option to stop all notifications for automation changes. Notifications are triggered by the project’s notification scheme (for internal users) and customer notifications (in JSM), and automation actions fire those same events just like manual updates. Atlassian hasn’t introduced a “silent automation” mode yet, so it’s not possible to disable them universally without also affecting normal user-driven notifications.
Hope that clears it up!
Hi @Mar Angelo
That is not possible for most rule components, and there are several open suggestions to add the ability to suppress notifications for rule changes to work items. You may watch / vote for these to see any progress:
Kind regards,
Bill
