Block creation of a duplicate ticket

This is our current process. Outlook forwards an email to Jira and Jira creates a ticket. Sometimes we receive emails with an already existing summary, and this triggers a duplicate ticket, which we don't want. Is there a way via automation (or another one) that in case an email is forwarded to Jira with an already existing summary Jira blocks its creation?

No there is no option ootb to prevent this.

You could look at 3rd party app, based on email handling, like Email this Issue.
