Block the sharing with an specific organization

Hi!

We have an organization which includes all of our costumers for purposes of communication: An announcement we need to share is created as an issue and shared with this organization.

However, it allows our costumers to share their tickets with this organization when creating an issue.

We'd like to know if there is a way to block the selection of this organization when the costumers are creating issues.

We tried to include a validator with an error message but the error is only displayed in the create screen of Jira, not in the portal.

Thank you!

Hi @Gustavo Maia ,

i'm afraid not, as soon as they are part of the organisation they can share with it.

You could try an automation which removes the organisation upon creation but I'm afraid this would be too late in the process as it would first be shared and then "unshared".

You might be better of using multiple organisations (one for each customer group) and changing the way you communicate by adding all organisations to the communication ticket.

Hi @Dirk Ronsmans ,

Thank you for the reply!

The problem we face with the automation you mentioned is that the costumers will receive the notification for "request created" even if we change the organization right after the creation.

Also, it is not an option to share the communication with all organizations because that way the organizations would be able to see the whole list of organizations we have in our Service project.
