Bulk update tickets in Jira Cloud

Hi,

I need to bulk update a lot of tickets but getting the error "You do not have permission to edit the selected X issues or at least one issue has a status that forbids editing.".

The tickets I am trying to update are closed which I think is the issues and was hoping there was a way of allowing closed tickets to be updated in bulk?

Is this possible?

Hi @Julian Haines 

 

Not able to edit an issue is something your admin configured. He use most likely workflow property on the final status of the workflow.

You need to remove this property from the workflow, or only allow it for admins. Find below the doc about this properties

Hi @Julian Haines 

Within the workflow that is used on the closed tickets the status has probably been set with a property that forbids editing of the issue.

Check the workflow in question to the issues you want to update.
