Hi,
I am having select list (cascading) custom field i want give bulk option to this field.
For Example: I am having category field and based on category selection I am viewing sub category, I want to view bulk of values in sub category, Is there any option to import/Export bulk value to custom field option ??
Hi @Melina RAMPERSANDS ,
I would like to add some more details to @Jack Brickey's suggestion for using External Data for Jira Fields to solve your use case.
First, you would need to create a file data source that contains the category values you want to import. External Data also provides a conversion function to adjust the structure of the data if required, which can be selected when creating the data source (Type Converter).
Once the data source is set up, you can use the Field Options Sync function to synchronise the values from your data source with a JIRA custom field. Since the custom field is a cascading pick list, you would need to select the "Cascading Dictionary" option for field options sync. You can map values of your Data Source to the appropriate fields (category/subcategory) in the JIRA custom field.
I hope this information is helpful to you. Please don't hesitate to reach out to support if you need further assistance.
Cheers,
Thomas

You can use the import feature to update a cascading list if that is your question. Here's a post that discusses the solution. Importing-into-Cascading-Select-field-Possible?

If you are saying that you wish to define (configure) the values associated with a cascading field using import then that is not possible. There are add-on options that might meet your needs. I found the following app in the marketplace. Please note that I have no experience with the add-on external-data-for-jira-fields .
