I get quite a few tickets in from specific users. These users at one point or another have told me what equipment they have etc, and I would like to have the ability to store some notes to a specific user's email in Jira so when I get a ticket from this user I can quickly access the notes to see what equipment this user has previously mentioned in past tickets.
Not sure if possible but would like to know, we're working on a back end solution for our site that will allow me to do this but was wondering if there is something similar in Jira in the meanwhile.
Hey @Mike
Unfortunately there isnt an official way to do this out of the box. The best way would be to get an Asset management add on like Insight - Asset Management.
The other option would be something like Atlas CRM - Customers in Jira. This appears to be meant for external customers but I think you could utilize this for your situation.
Thank you, I have looked at those before, was hoping there was some feature I missed but this does help me at least knowing that I need a 3'rd party app.
Will likely sit this one out, will wait for my dev's to finish the back end for our site with this feature.
Thank you for the quick response.
