Can't access request types

Hello, I have a strange issue with seeing request types. I'm a site admin, all of these have been working perfectly well until a few days ago when I tried accessing them and they don't seem to work and I get the following error. I know that the request types are there, because a colleague with exactly the same permissions as mine can see and edit them. Also, it's me that created them in the first place..

same when I try to access them via

This happens for all projects. I am a project admin on all our JSM projects (here an example). I have even added myself individually. I can do everything else in the JSM projects, but see/edit request types.

I am an agent in JSM and among others, I belong to these groups

As mentioned, it seems I have all permissions I need, and it worked perfectly well until a few days ago, and I'm the only person who goes and modifies these things, even though others might have permissions.. To my knowledge nobody modified anything as we did not do any changes to anything remotely related to this within the last few days/weeks.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hi @Alain Kovacs

You need to grant yourself a JSM license and add yourself to the default administrators role in the project.

Hi @Marc - Devoteam

Thanks for the answer. I am fairly sure I already have both, but maybe I'm misunderstanding you.

I have a JSM license, I'm an agent and I can do everything as an agent

and I am also an Administrator (I can do everything an Admin can, apart from the Request types)

just as I finished writing this, I have tried again, and it started working.. I'm a bit lost. So I certainly had a JSM license, but it is true that it might have had something with the "Administrators" project role. For some reason or another, the "Administrators" role had nobody in it, but I am absolutely certain that this is how it has always been. Nobody went there to remove people. I have added myself and some groups to the project role and it started working! Thanks for steering me in the right direction.

Hi there,

I am having this exact issue - it just suddenly started this week with no apparent changes. A colleague, who has the exact same roles, permissions & product access, can view the request types. We have compared all groups and plans, and our access levels are identical. I tried removing / re-adding myself from the administrator role, as mentioned in the suggested solution, but no luck.

Would be grateful for some additional guidance. Thanks!

I figured it out...

I was added to 1 additional group called 'jira-servicemanagement-stakeholders'. This group had no permissions on the JSM Permission Scheme, which somehow counteracted my Administrator role permissions. Feels like the Administrator role should surely be the highest level of access?!

Anyway, I hope this helps others in this position.
