Hi,
We have JSM v4.20.15 datacenter. We preset approvers in multi user picker field on the request type page.
If the user goes inactive the request can't be raised. It gives error value in hidden field invalid. Pls refer to the SS.
Do we have any workaround for this so that the requests can be raised even the such a field has an inactive user?
Regards,
Muddassir Quazi
Hi Muddassir
Why wouldn't you just take out the inactive user?
Hi John,
Yes we do remove it when the user goes inactive and raise a request starts throwing an error. But it is a dependency on Jira Admin.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Yes, it would be dependent on a Jira Admin, but how is the user being made inactive? By a Jira Admin? Or by an automated process through Atlassian Access?

Users come from AD. If they go inactive in AD then the user is also inactive in Jira.

I would set up some type of rule on the AD side so that when the user is inactive you get an email or a notification to check that Group.
Or you could even do a daily check as part of the Jira Admin responsibilities, though this would get cumbersome.
