One of the doubts I have on the part of a client is that if they themselves want to extract their information to work on it in other repositories, does JSM allow you?

Hi Brandon:

Out of the box, it is not possible.  As there is an outstanding enhancement ask (old ask) on Atlassian side - https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-826.  You can add yourself as a watcher to the case to receive updates.

However, at this time, you will need a third party add-on to give you that functionality.  You can take a look at https://marketplace.atlassian.com/

There is one add-on that I believe it has that functionality -

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212161/extension-for-jira-service-management?tab=overview&hosting=cloud

Here is their documentation on this element - https://deviniti.com/support/addon/server/extension/latest/export-request/#:~:text=Turn%20on%20the%20toggle%20under%20the%20Export%20Request%20section.&text=Go%20to%20your%20Customer%20Portal,Click%20the%20Export%20icon.

Hope this helps.
