Can we run AQL queries across Object Schema?

Dharmin Patel May 29, 2023

Hi Team,

We have created different object schemas for import data from AWS and Azure , also created custom assets object schema. We can run AQL query for individual object schema, but we want to run same AQL query across all object schema. Means when we run query to search an object it should show result from all the object schema present in Assets. is it possible ? if not what could be the workaround.

P.S We have already enabled Allow others to select objects from this schema option.

Thanks & Regards,

Dharmin Patel

Not currently, but cross-schema searching should be rolling out soon, it was mentioned in this announcement post. If you're an Atlassian org admin you can find the related release note in Administration > Products > Product updates with a title of Improved search for Assets in Jira Service Management. The release status is rolling out, and release timeframe is stated as starting in May 2023.

Here's what the release note states:

We've made some changes to the global search in Assets in Jira Service Management.

You can now use the global search to find an object Key, Label, or ID across multiple object schemas.

You can also use the schema search to search a particular object schema for any text attribute value.
