Trying to start utilizing the neat feature of "Calendar" in a JSM project I have.
Apparently the Calendar uses standard fields "Start Date" and "Due Date" for populating the Calendar, and both needs to be populated for an issue to be visible.
I already have these dates in custom fields, so I was hoping to change how the Calendar is configured rather than duplicating my existing to additional fields but this seems easier said than done.
Found this;
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/show-issues-in-the-calendar/
...which states this is possible by "Select Configure views from the more menu (...)"
But I can't find that anywhere?
The one visible I've manually duplicated the values but I have another 187 "Unscheduled"....so what am I missing?
Hi @Andreas Sundvall ,
From what I'm seeing in the screenshot, you're looking at the Calendars inside Software project and the article you're referring to is for Jira Service Management.
If you would look at your project, below the project name there's an information about project type, and for JSM projects and Calendar view there, there's this option which is stated in the official docs.
Now, as for ability to add custom date fields in Jira (ex. JSW and JWM) calendars, there are open suggestions such as this one which you can vote on: JSWCLOUD-26680: Allow custom date field to be shown on Calendar View
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Tobi
Oh my God...sometimes it's just too obvious :D
Thank you for the help with the explanation, just too bad it's not customizable.
Then I'll have to automate to my custom fields are populated in to the default fields until Atlassian fixes this!
Thank you @Tomislav Tobijas
