i am looking for a way to automate a status change when my assignee clicks into (ie, views) the ticket (issue).
I am able to set up automation when they add a comment but I am thinking of a workflow where I assign a ticket, my assignee views it but does not begin work - I want to mark a status change so I (and others) can visualize that they have seen the issue.
Hi @Monica Burris , Automation requires an event to trigger on. Unfortunately "viewing" does not create an event. maybe consider if the user assigns the issue to themself == status change?
that makes sense - thank you - that workflow won't work for us though as our people are assigned the cases by our technical dispatcher
and we were needing them viewing it be the trigger - all good , I can just make them manually change it :) Thank you again for the feedback
