Hi all,
I operate within a team where it is required that we have several separate instances of Jira.
Our dev team use Jira Software for Kanban etc, and we use Jira Service Desk to communicate with users for bug reporting etc.
I would like to know if there is a way that I can get 1 instance of Jira (Service Desk and Software/Kanban) to link issues with a different instance of Jira (Software/Kanban only)?
Ideally I would like to create an automation rule to automatically create a linked issue from the service desk of one instance into the Kanban of another - although am happy to do this manually if needed.
Can this be done?
Thanks!
Hi @Luke Bryant ,
the basic way to do this is to set up Application Links between the 2 instances, you can follow this documentation : https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/using-applinks-to-link-to-other-applications-938846918.html
You can then link your issues from Jira Softwate to Jira Service Desk
Let me know if this helps,
