Copy field value (Channel) to anonter field

Hi,

I'm trying to copy the value of "Channel" in Jira Service Management to a custom field of our own, but for some reason, i can't find that channel anywhere, is not a field or something.

How can i copy that value "Email" to another field? I have Automation for Jira and scriptrunner.

Hello @Albert Manuel , if you are using the Automation, you can create a rule something like this:

• Trigger - Issue Created
• Component - Condition If/Else block
  • If condition -> JQL condition equal to "request-channel-type = Email" (when the issue is created by email in Jira)
    • Edit Issue (Field Copy) = Email
  • Else If condition -> JQL condition equal to "request-channel-type = API" (when the issue is created by a integration/third part in Jira)
    • Edit Issue (Field Copy) = API
  • Else If condition -> JQL condition equal to "request-channel-type = Jira" (when the issue is created internally in Jira)
    • Edit Issue (Field Copy) = Jira
