Could Custom Fields in Jira Management auto create AD groups against a user?

We currently use a portal in Jira Service Management to manage our User access as we have 100's of different permission groups and systems. 

Would it be possible that on submission of a Jira form, you could get the system to locate the corresponding email address in EntraID and update the Group based on the set custom field responses?

I don't think this is possible without an app from the marketplace or by using the API and power shell.

The main concern is that, I don't think your IT admins managing the AD would be keen on this, but you would need to discuss this with them.

I would not let this be done, as an external application can than make changes with the AD!!!
