Custom plugins changes for Jira application upgrade from 8.5.17 to 9.12.2

We need to have the Jira application upgrade from 8.5.17 to 9.12.2 and we have custom plugins developed by us. So, for custom plugins what needs to be analyzed and what are all the changes required for the upgrade?

Hi Sandesh,

There's no way we can tell you what might need to be done  here, we don't have any access to your plugin's code.

For marketplace plugins, you should just go to "manage apps" and upgrade all the ones flagged as having an available upgrade.

But for your own apps, you are probably going to need to recompile it against the target version of Jira.  You might find you do not need to, it is possible to write apps that work across many versions, but when jumping major versions of Jira (like from 8 to 9), I strongly recommend that you do recompile it.

Hi @Sandesh TM

I don't want to be blunt, but you should go over the release notes to find if actions need to be taken.
