Customize your help center fields for issue type

I'd like to add a 'system' field to this view for this type of request type (Fix an account problem), so that users don't have to type this, but instead select it. I'm guessing it's possible? I couldn't find a way. Thanks.

Hello @Werner Schott,

Thank you for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

It’s possible to add more fields to a request form by going to Project settings > Request types > Click on the desired request type > Request form:

Then, click on Add a field and select the desired ones. You can drag and drop them to organize the order of the fields.

If the field you need is not listed there, then you need to add it to the screen first.

On the page above, you can see that there is the information: Configure the request form customers will see. To make more fields available in this form, add them to the Create Issue Screen for issue type.

So, click on "Create Issue Screen" and add the fields then, go back to the request form and ad the field.

Another option to add the field to the screen (in case you want to use the field on other request forms on the project) is by going to the Cog icon > Issues > Custom fields > Search for the field > Click on … > Associate to screens > Select the screens of your project > Update.

After that, follow the steps I mentioned previously to add the field to the request form.

Hope this helps!

Kind regards,
Angélica
