Looking to connect Entra Users Via the Entra Adaptor. We are having some trouble with the config and being able to get to the point of either testing the connection or running the first job.
We don have a client server installed behind our firewall; however, I was under the impression that the OOB cloud adapters would not need the client as they are a cloud to cloud integration. Is the client required in this instance?
If you have any links to any documentation around this that would be great.
Hi Phil,
I'm not sure if you have reviewed the documentation regarding data manager and EntraID linked below:
https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/data-manager-entra-id-user-adapter/
Judging from the documentation, it seems that Client Application is required to be registered in your Azure portal in order to make the connection work.

Septa Cahyadiputra
My understanding is you will need the on-prem data adapter client (with your WorkspaceID and token) for any connections in the current release/version.
This could change later upon the development and release of an API. Although Atlassian will need to provide more details around that one.

Hi @Phil Amiss
Welcome to the community.
In relation to your request, this was my understanding as well.
But after going over the steps and the documentation, yes an on-prem installations (or intermediate solution is required.
So @Septa Cahyadiputra and @Michael Bottroff are correct.
