I recently modified the Delete issue permission in a service desk project removing Service Desk Team and Customer - Portal access. When I went back into the project settings later I was greeted with a Warning that the project may not function correctly with those modifications so I reversed them. I subsequently noticed that there is no delete option in the portal so it appears I can leave that alone.
I've seen multiple posts here about modifying this permission with no mention of warnings or adverse effects. We'd really like to disable the ability to delete an issue for anyone other than admins.
Does anyone know the reason for the warning?
If you simply remove the service desk team I would expect that would do the trick. Basically you want your delete permission to only include your admins. Can you share a screenshot of what you currently have configured?
Thanks Jack.
Current (default):
When I remove Service Desk Team, the following come up:
I found a document regarding Major and Minor errors, and the above is not Major so it appears I can safely set this to Ignore errors. I was partly looking for an answer to why the warning exists in this scenario. Not sure I'm going to find it though.

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Understood, I don't think that should be labeled as an error at all. Maybe a warning is more appropriate but even then I think it's unnecessary as the admin making this change should be fully aware of the consequences.
