Details of selection value from source on customer portal

Hi Team,

Can we have the details of a value from a source on customer portal.

For example, a field name employee, if I select a value in customer portal for example Jason, a list of details is displayed like employee manager, Department etc...

Can this be achieved by Native JSM or is there an addon to perform this feature?

as far as I know this cannot be achieved with the native JSM solution, yet.

Another 3rd party option is the app External Data for Jira Fields.

To build your use case you can use a combination of search fields and info panels with dependencies.

Elements Connect should be able to help you with that.

It works by querying a datasource (including the Jira API) and displaying the results in a connected item. You could configure a first field to select the employee, and then a dependent field that displays details. If only the agent needs the details (and not the reporter), you can even hide the details on the portal and just display for the agent to avoid cluttering the view for reporters.
