Hello!
We are currently thinking of purchasing another Jira Service Desk instance to use it as our IT service desk tool and I was wondering If I absolutely needed to purchase Atlassian Access to connect it to our Active Directory (Azure or 208 Native) even tho we are not doing SAML yet.

If you are going to use Jira Service Desk on the Atlassian Cloud, then Atlassian Access is the way to do it. Not sure if there are any other third-party viable solutions to connect local AD with Atlassian Cloud instance.
