Does JSM 5.6.0 work on Jira Software 5.5.0

Is it possible to install the JSM 5.6.0, with the fix for CVE-2023-22501, in a Jira Software 5.5.0 installation? Otherwise it is needed to upgrade Jira Software to version 9.6.0 to get the fix for JSM.

I uploaded JSM version 5.6.0 to our Jira Software 9.5.0 installation. That did not work. To fix CVE-2023-22501 you have to download and install servicedesk-variable-substitution-plugin-5.5.1-REL-0005.jar  and restart Jira.
