During the Creating Import configuration, Where Does it Look For the File?

Dan Long October 26, 2023

For Jira Service Management (v5.6.0 with Jira 9.6.0) -- where is the file location of when it's looking for the files or where is the uploaded file located?

Object Schemas -> Configure -> Import -> Create Import configuration (see photos).

The problem is that we can't upload files due to XSRF (Upload gets stuck in Assets | Jira | Atlassian Documentation) and cyber won't let us modify the load balancer.  So we'd like to manually upload the file to the server so that JSM will see the file and we can still import the CSV.  I've tried adding a csv file to import/insight/file.csv and export/insight/file.csv. but it doesn't show up when clicking on the drop down for the file listing.

FYI -- This is the error in the log when we do try to Upload file via the GUI:

2023-10-17 16:36:17,116+0000 http-nio-8080-exec-10 WARN dan.long 996x617681x1 1yqdzoe x.x.x.x,x.x.x.x /rest/insight/1.0/file/upload [c.a.p.r.c.security.jersey.XsrfResourceFilter] XSRF checks failed for request: https://URL/rest/insight/1.0/file/upload , origin: https://URL , referrer: https://URL/secure/InsightConfigure.jspa

For anyone else looking for an answer.  Once you have the file sitting on the server you can use the URL option:

file:///opt/csv/example.csv

The solution, when presented, was a "Duh, why didn't I think of that!" moment...." :-)
