I have a Security users group. I need to send an email to the security group when a security incident is opened. How can I set that up?

please provide us more information about your security incident management. Is it a specific request type? If so, because of the follwing ticket https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-5624, you can setup the following Automation :
Use the automation rules from Service Desk for certain events such as:
When: Issue Created
If: Issue matches -> "Customer Request Type" = X
Then: Send email
